Nice dedication, and a very nice capture. I can't decide which looks better, with or without the cloud at the top: i.e., with or without cropping the top. Anyway, great colours and of course the light rays are awesome. (The B&W doesn't do this image justice, in my opinion.)

It has been done quite a lot as we all well know.... Even if the subject is cliché (what subject is not ) you have done something very beautiful. very good!, another option to cropping out the cloud is cloning it out. the composition is fantastic as is and i think you would lose some of that effect by cropping out the cloud. on second thought, maybe a combination of crop and clone... if you clone it out there will be a little too much negative space at the top.
